Volunteers with a wide range of talents and interests extend MLM’s reach dramatically. Volunteers interview clients and help seniors with home repair. Voluneers are a major help in running MLM’s annual Christmas Stores. Volunteers are always welcome to help with all aspects of the Homeless Services program.
Want to be an MLM volunteer? There are ways for almost everyone to help make metropolitan Kansas City a better place. Call Susan Bartling at 931-0027, Ext. 240, e-mail suzannebartling@mlmkc.org or see the volunteer information form.
Since 1989, in partnership with the Senior Companion Program (a part of the federal Corporation for National Service), MLM has sponsored 20 senior volunteers. These volunteers, who receive a small subsidy from the federal Corporation for National Service, work an average of 20 hours per week to provide companionship and support to homebound seniors in the Kansas City area.
Other volunteers help with our Senior Commodity Program, sorting records, making phone calls or any of the dozens of activities that help "make MLM tick." Please feel free to cal MLM at 816-931-0027, e-mail info@mlmkc or signup on our volunteer information form by clicking here.
